The customer wanted a larger kitchen and living space. UBL took on the building work and interior finishes, bringing the construction and fitting-out work together.
The extension combines a glazed gable, rooflights and garden-facing doors, with the rooms arranged around the courtyard.

THE MAIN CHALLENGE
Building on difficult ground.
Poor ground conditions made the foundations a key part of this project. A complex arrangement of steelwork was installed in the ground as part of the extension’s construction.

Original features were saved during demolition and reinstalled within the garden wall, retaining a connection to the existing property.
